SCOTT COUNTY, GEORGETOWN, KY
AMK Services Designed, Engineered and Installed a 6-Site P25 Phase 2 Simulcast MASTR V, 10-Channel 800 MHz System, HA NSC with Symphony Consoles and Nokia Ring Microwave Backhaul. In addition, AMK Services will be providing Ongoing Maintenance Support and Emergency Response Services to Georgetown/Scott County.
UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY
The University of Kentucky is a 2-site L3Harris 800 MHz P25 Phase 2 System that AMK Services was awarded in November 2016. The system provides critical communication to the Police Department, as well as maintenance and transit system workers. AMK Services provided System Engineering, Design, Installation Services. AMK Services also installed 3 Symphony Dispatch Consoles at the dispatch center and 1 VDOC site.
CITY OF BARTLETT, TN
The City of Bartlett, TN L3Harris P25 system serves a population of over 58,000 residents and is one of the larger suburbs of Memphis TN. AMK Services constructed a 2-Site L3Harris 700 MHz P25 Phase 2 Simulcast System to replace an end of life platform that was plagued with outages and poor coverage. Bartlett now enjoys a system that exceeded every coverage requirement with no major outages since turn-up. AMK Services provided System Engineering, Design, Installation Services as well as Microwave Backhaul Design and Installation. AMK Services also installed 6 Symphony Dispatch Consoles at the 2 dispatch centers and provides full-time maintenance, system updates and emergency assistance with local on-call technicians and engineers to provide 24/7 coverage.
ROCKWOOD ELECTRIC UTILITY
Providing electric power throughout Rockwood County TN, Rockwood Electric Utility (REU) chose AMK Services to help deliver the critical communications required to assist in providing uninterrupted service. AMK Services provided an L3Harris powered by Tait, Tier 2 DMR System to meet the rigorous demands of REU’s communications needs. The system was designed to meet both the coverage requirements and rugged durability for all terminals that are used throughout the area. AMK Services partnered with Harris Corporation to provide REU with a single-site DMR Public Service Communications System as well as providing all installation, engineering and testing services to implement a fully functioning system. AMK Services continues to provide equipment and services to Rockwood Electric Utility.
AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER
AEP Headquarters, located in Columbus Ohio, services power needs across 12 states and approximately 5.2 million customers. They are currently servicing their communication needs with an 800 MHz EDACS Radio System and are midway through converting to an approximately 500-site, 800 MHz multi-region P25 Radio Network. The new System provides enhanced coverage and functionality as well as numerous firsts in the industry to include P25 High Velocity Data and the new XL-185M. In addition to the 12 High-Availability NSC P25 Multicast Systems, AEP is also installing over 100 Symphony Consoles, 6000 XL-185 Mobile radios and approximately 1500 XL-200 Portable radios. AMK Services is providing local project management to 6 operating states, technical and engineering resources nationwide and, programming and installation of all the mobile radios.
ENERGY COMPANY IN WESTERN OHIO
Our client is a regional energy provider and provides service to over 500,000 customers in West Central Ohio. AMK Services partnered with L3Harris to upgrade 19 OpenSky Sites which included upgrading the SkyMASTR Base Stations, access routers and NetSentry’s. In addition, we upgraded Primary and Secondary NSCs and 5 OpenSky Cell Sites and installed 9 new Symphony Consoles.
